Especiarias
Our Suite Duplex Especiarias pays tribute to spices brought from the Asian continent at the time of the Discoveries.
In our Torel 1884 Suites & Apartments, spices (especiarias in Portuguese) are represented in one of our suites, through the earthy colors that dominate the room.
The dark red walls, the beige sofa, and the headboard, made of cane, are also elements alluding to spices.
However, the biggest reference is made through a colorful screen, with Asian patterns, and the rug on the wall, with different spices.

Especiarias
In addition to its use in cooking: seasoning and preserving food, spices are exploited by the pharmaceutical industry, in the production of cosmetics, oils, medicines, and incense.
Historically, these various uses have resulted in disputes between companies, namely apothecaries.
There are several spices known by everyone, especially cinnamon, coriander, saffron, nutmeg, and ginger.
